China: Through the Looking Glass 2015 Met Gala

on

Last night the Costume Institute Benefit Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art was held in New York City. The theme for the evening was China: Through The Looking Glass

So many gorgeous gowns…also a few crazy looks from our favorite fashionistas. I’ll save the criticism for the major media outlets and just share my favorites from the evening.

Keri Russell in Altuzarra

My favorite of the evening was Keri Russell in her custom Altuzarra side-slit gown embellished with emerald and iridescent blue feathers. I love the ultra smoky eye makeup to compliment her goth inspired look.

Katie Holmes in Zac Posen

Katie Holmes tricked me that she chopped off her hair, but after further examination she was wearing a bob wig for the evening. Katie doesn’t take very many risks on the red carpet, but I thought she looked stunning in this Zac Posen gown.

Emma Roberts in Ralph Lauren

Emma Roberts really wowed me in this gorgeous emerald green Ralph Lauren gown. She used the dragon accents on her clutch to keep with evening’s theme.

Dianna Agron in Custom Tory Burch Gown

Dianna Agron looked so elegant in a Tory Burch gown with intricate bird detailing that is perfectly on point with the event’s theme.

Olivia Wilde in Prada

If Olivia would have omitted the gloves she would have been my best dressed candidate. She  looked so beautiful in this Prada gown. I am obsessed with her head wrap!

Lily Collins in Chanel

Lily Collins looked so elegant in this custom Chanel look. I’m not sure how a veil equates to China: Through The Looking Glass, but I love it!!
