New Year’s Eve is only a few days aways and you’re still not sure of what to wear to that fabulous cocktail party? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered with a variety of styles that will bring the glam to ring in the new year! We will take a look at each style, what to accessorize with and which look works best for you. Let’s get glam shall we?
The Shift Dress
If you’re going to a cocktail party and dancing you can never go wrong with a LBD! Step out in this feminine shift dress with structured bow and delicate point d’esprit yoke. Pair with black minimalist sandals and sparkly clutch for a classic look.
Fit & Flare
Keeping with the LBD theme and changing the silhouette a bit with this fit and flare dress. The striped mesh panels at the neck and hem of this sweet skater dress flirt with sheerness without revealing too much, while flattering your figure with a nipped in waist and festive full skirt. Pair with lace up heels or minimalist black sandals.
Looking for a change from the little black dress? Give metallics a try this year! This adorable skater dress is made from open-mesh Airtex fabric for a light and airy feel. Black lining accents the radiant golden finish, creating a rich two-tone look. Pair it with lace-up heels and simple black clutch.
So you want to be a lady in red? This flattering fit-and-flare silhouette will make a dazzling first impression on a charming sleeveless dress finished with a plunging, bow-bedecked V-back for a head-turning exit. Pair with classic black pumps or metallic sandals.
What girl doesn’t like a bit of sparkle in her life? Ruching slims and flatters the figure throughout this slinky cocktail dress enhanced by light-catching sequins that further its party-ready attitude. Go solid gold with metallic gold tone minimalist sandals, gold cuffs and gold earrings.
Looking for a chic alternative to a dress on NYE? Try a chic black jumpsuit. Trapunto stitching defines the halter neckline of a slinky jumpsuit finished with wide-leg pants for a cool, retro silhouette. Pair with black cutout sandals for an edgy look.
Finding your perfect NYE heels!
OK, that was a lot of talk about dresses, now lets move on to something we all love…heels! Choosing the right heel can be a daunting task that really depends on which dress you’re choosing for NYE.
A classic black pump pairs perfectly with your little black dress or even that striking red dress. For evening pumps I would choose a pointed toe pump for more of a polished look.
The lace-up heel falls into the same category as a classic pump. They pair wonderfully with black cocktail dresses and add a perfect amount of edge to the look.
The black minimalist sandal is really the best all around evening shoe. They pair very well with black and other solid colors, although I would avoid wearing with a pale metallic dress.
Cutout sandals really make a statement with a black cocktail dress, but also look very chic paired with a jumpsuit.
NYE only comes once a year, have a little fun! These whimsical heels are perfect with a black or metallic dress.
A pair of statement heels can really elevate any outfit!
A pair of metallic sandals are a must in every woman’s closet. They pair well with solid colors and metallic dresses. They even play well in the spring with vibrant florals.
Sometimes you just need to dance the night away and 4 inch heels might not be your best friend. These adorable block heel sandals give you lots of sparkle with a little lift.
Let’s face it, heels are not perfect for every situation. There is nothing wrong with choosing flats to complete your NYE look. Go for a simple black or perhaps add a bit of sparkle?
