Last week I received a last minute call from one of my clients. She was looking for a shopping buddy for the afternoon and I was more than happy to oblige her…I mean who doesn’t love shopping??? We started out hitting our usual favorites looking mostly for shoes and accessories. I will say nothing was really speaking to us until we arrived at Saks. We started cataloging in our minds what shoe she really needed at the moment and then the SA told us about some gorgeous bags on sale…game over! I knew it was going to be a handbag kinda day!
After narrowing down the field it was between these two Chloe bags. Marcie (L) or Faye (R) At first it was a tough choice because both bags are so fab, but my stylist instinct kicked in and remembered she doesn’t really own bag in the neutral brown palette.
This is an investment piece so I reminded her she already has several black bags in her collection and she immediately chose Faye and couldn’t be happier with her decision.
So what is the moral of this story?
When considering purchasing an investment piece like a luxury bag or shoes it’s a good idea to do a mental inventory of your closet and determine what your needs are so you get the most bang for your buck!
